Not often thought of this way, but I would say Eli Whitney and his interchangeable rifle parts ca 1863, that revolutionized shooting in its day.
or the 1911, and John brownings stuff, didnt he invent the pistol blowback system? If not then the 1911 still would qualify. And the ma-deuce.
