Does a factory round of ammunition fall out of the chamber after seated fully, without a BCG in the upper?
I dont install barrels unless they pass my chamber-check with 4 different dummy cartridges.
If the chamber is tight, that could be causing your problems.
Its better to figure this out before ever installing a barrel in an upper and learning later the chamber is wrong.
