Blem bullets can be culled bullets when starting production on a different sku or caliber. Blem bullets can also have cosmetic abnormalities compared to retail bullets or ammunition. Ive visited Sierras factory and their lab inspects for tolerances plus test fires any new batch of bullets. Some of Sierra factory seconds might be from a batch of bullets that dont produce accuracy to spec. Ive shot several thousand 6.5 mm and .224 blem/factory second bullets from Nosler and Sierra. For short range hunting and target shooting I have had very good results with blems. If I know Im going to shoot past 300-400 yards I shoot retail bullets or over runs. In my experience Nosler over runs are very good quality but are generally cheaper than bullets purchased at retail locations.
