You have to start thunking of your surroundings like we would draw out a range card and sector sketch, taking keen notes of trails, dead space you can’t see, marking ranges to various target reference points, and where you will stage your emergency supplies.

What’s your PACE commo plan (Primary, Alternate, Contingency, Emergency) with any neighbors and Sheriffs.

What’s your shelter-in-place vs emergency evac criteria and have you rehearsed any of it?

What’s your fire plan for arson and do you have fire-fighting equipment?

What’s your med kit situation with IFAKs, medic bags, litters, etc.?

More importantly, what’s your level of physical fitness and mobility?
