I looked at the new Sierra 105 grain Blitz King which has a .425 G1 BC which is comparable to the 107 grain SMK. The 107 grain Tipped Match King has a BC of .445-.455 depending on velocity. Using a 107 grain TMK seems to narrow the difference between the 6 ARC and 6.5 Grendel.
I have been looking at the 6 ARC as a varmint cartridge but how I and where I shoot Ive decided to stick with the 6.5 Grendel. One thing in the 6 ARCs favor is Starline producing 6 ARC brass. Ive considered a 6 ARC bolt gun but Im not sure at my age Ill get enough use out of a new bolt gun since I have a 24 Cz 527 6.5 Grendel. I might get into an impulse buy under the right situation but right now Im well stocked with 6.5 Grendel.
