Just to mention it, I did kill a few hogs with the Hornady 95 gr V-Max. I wanted the higher velocity of the lighter bullet, but worried a bit about performance on a hog. Justified the idea that the lower velocity of the Grendel would help the bullet hold together as it traversed the hog. The first one I shot was a big one. Ill guess the weight at about 200 pounds. It was a big hog, and sometimes I weigh them, but didnt weigh that one. After he was hit, he ran maybe 30 yards into the woods. He was way too big for me to drag out, so I got the Honda with winch. Since then, Ive moved to the 123 gr SST, but not because of any failure with the V-Max.
