Welcome to the forum Papa Smurff! One suggestion is using a 20 MOA mount. Unless your at higher elevation many scopes run out of elevation around 800 yards with the 6.5 Grendel. I haven’t found any down side to using a canted scope mount on my 6.5 Grendel AR-15’s and my Cz 527 American in 6.5 Grendel. I use 0 cant scope mounts on my low power variable optics (1-6).


I like shooting steel at longer distances and using a canted mount keeps me from maxing out my scopes elevation.
