For example, an ammo company I work with uses a lot of SMP 763, which is Alliant 2000MR powder. They can cater the burn rate of that powder they want from the factory to a slightly slower burn or a slightly faster burn for the application they want for a line of ammo. It's impressive when to see powder when they order it in 50,000 to 100,000 lbs all at once.
