Now if he slabs the action, flutes the bolt and hollows bolt handle he can drop 3 more oz. just over 4 1/4 lbs. Talley rings and a fixed 6x36 Leupold hed be under 5 lb scoped if does the machine work.
Tell him to get hokey's aluminum hinged bottom metal kit to fix it proper. No weight penalty.
