For bolt guns I pretty much use JB’s and/or Iosso for most of my cleaning. JB’s on a tight fitting patch, the Iosso on one of their nylon brushes. 30 or so passes, flush and repeat. Done. With JB’s your definitely removing metal. The patches are black after scrubbing, even when there’s no apparent carbon left! That’s the only thing I’ve found that can clean the carbon out quickly. Wipe-out, Patch out, and Accelerator work great for getting copper out with almost no elbow grease but, I don’t find it effective on carbon. Fill the barrel with Wipe out, leave it overnight, come back in the morning and the copper is gone, all of it! Works great, for copper! Bore Tech gets a lot of love and just got some but haven’t tried it yet! For carbon rings, JB’s on the tip of an oversized nylon brush and a cordless drill knocks them out in a minute or two. No soaking, no waiting, no scrubbing by hand! Fastest, easiest way I know of.
