I agree. The best opportunities to save weight are:
1. Optic/Mount - avoid Aero Precision mounts - I'm 50/50 with the ones I've tried; Leupold, Nightforce, or Warne are 100% solid and worth the extra money, and only weigh a couple ounces more.
2. Barrel - Faxon on a budget; Proof carbon fiber if you have $$$. Yours isn't bad at 26oz, so I'm not sure this would be my top priority.
3. Handguard - check out Smoke Composites, Coda Evolution, Brigand Arms, etc for super light carbon fiber handguards. Depending on your rail, you could save 10 oz or more.
4. Stock - Stocks can be anywhere from several ounces to a couple pounds. Pick one you like, but look up the weight - many are heavier than you'd think.
