Why not put the existing rifle on a diet? Start with the scope and mount. Leupold makes the best, reasonably-priced lightweight scopes currently, in my opinion. Consider a shorter, lighter handguard next. Ditch all accessories you don't need. Direct thread the can, if that's option. Consider a lightweight JP bolt carrier group and adjustable gas block if you still need to drop weight.
