I ran 3 gun for many years. Almost everyone I knew ran wet guns. Mobil 1 was a favorite but several shooters had their "secret sauce" lube recipes. Lots of them had mixtures of motor oil, transmission fluid & who knows what else. After experimenting with various lubes, I settled on straight Rem Oil in my 3 gun AR.
I refuse to be victimized by notions of virtuous behavior.
