I am really in your camp, I have a Palma bbl that I shot in competition & practice for over 1.5 years without cleanings,
shooting 155 SMKs , we would order the bullets 5K at a time so Sierra would run them off the same machine ..
The last 4 or 5 months I thought about cleaning it, but it was shooting so well I was afraid to touch it.
I dont shoot a lot of paper but I do shoot a lot of steel . I see guys cleaning the living heck out of their gun for hours after firing 30 shots hard for me to understand.
I shoot a Glock 34G5 with some of my real white trash brothers from the University of GA, every Thursday night , 52 weeks a year. The barrel has not ever been cleaned.
Each to his own, if it gives you a settled mind do it.
I think the Glock manual says that it voids the warranty if any solvent or a patch is used in the bbl.
