IMR 4064 quickload help

6.5 Grendel Reloading Handbooks

I could not find any published data for IMR 4064. Burn rate shows it within range of common 6.5 Grendel powders. The problem you run into with it is that it’s a long extruded powder that has a hard time metering and fitting into small cases.



It might be worth exploring in 6.5 Grendel though since it’s slower-burning that 8208XBR, very close to AA2520.

You might not be able to get enough in the case to produce velocities you’re looking for though.

That Quick Load data will be meaningless since QL never tested IMR 4064 in a pressure test breach, so it’s entirely theoretical with zero real world data points to reference.
