Scope selection for Howa mini

If you already have the scope then it’s no sweat to take it out at dawn and dusk to see what it’s like without a spotty. You don’t even need to mount it.

My experience of Leopold is that they are good with repeatability. At normal hunting mag, say 6x the exit pupil won’t be idea (6/2.5=2.8mm). Without a spotty closer to 7mm would be ideal, but any scope is better than the naked eye at gathering light.
