I’ve read through a lot of that thread. Most of it is opinions and talk without posts of actual animals killed, though there are some about every 3 pages, mostly deer, coyotes, antelope, and some cats.

The OP has shot some elk within 100-260 yards with the 77gr TMK from a bolt gun, broadside shots through the heart/lungs.

Nothing really surprising there.

There is example of 800+ yard elk kill with .223/77TMK in that thread. The 77 TMK is extremely lethal.

There are also plenty of examples of greater than 260 yard kills. The .223/77 TMK combo doesn’t hit 1800 fps until roughly 450 yards.
