Wanna know a secret?
Ive never trimmed any of my Grendel cases, and have been shooting and reloading them since 2009.
At least not Lapua or Hornady brass. I have many pieces of the older Large Rifle Primer PPU brass that would need to be trimmed, but I dont reload them.
I cant remember if any of my Federal brass got near the 1.530 case length limit.
Low chamber pressure and efficient case design with the 30 degree shouder and short propellant column seem to contribute to minimal case length growth.
In contrast, I do have to trim .308 Win/7.62 NATO, .260 Remington, and .270 Winchester brass.
.308 and .260 Rem wont even chamber unless I trim them.
Its one of the reasons why I shoot Grendel so much and not the others anymore. I have a wife and 3 younger kids, plus 2 adult kids.
