In Canada AR's aren't really a thing, so as an avid ballistics nerd and hunter looking to find max efficiency and no fat for my goals it just happened to start with that 123gr bullet then figuring out what case would drive it with the same no fat goals...the Grendel may not have been designed for hunting but this ballistics nerd/hunter was drawn to it right from the get go. I don't reload so had to wait a long time to get my hands on it this side of border, but have run it exclusively for 5 seasons now and batting 1000. Moose, black bear(3), sheep, whitetails, muley, and a wolf. 10-420 yards, average shot distance 163, average recovery distance 13 yards, 15 animals, walked right up to everything afterwards. In the 30 grains of powder class, and extra short action class....it's as efficient as one can get for a hunting focused off the shelf buyer.
