To repeat and emphasize earlier posts about the futility of advocating kinetic energy as a metric for hunting potential:
Broadhead arrows generally have less than 100 ft-lb of energy at the bow. Yet, hunting arrows frequently pass clear through their quarry.
The lethal mechanism is the cutting and slicing of blood vessels and vital organs.
So, anyone who touts a kinimum kinetic energy for hunting on any but state hunting law minimums, is not a credible advocate for hunting cartridges and bullets.
