I’ve read through a lot of that thread. Most of it is opinions and talk without posts of actual animals killed, though there are some about every 3 pages, mostly deer, coyotes, antelope, and some cats.

The OP has shot some elk within 100-260 yards with the 77gr TMK from a bolt gun, broadside shots through the heart/lungs.

Nothing really surprising there.

For elk hunting in the Mountain West Region of the US, we see a lot of longer distance shot opportunities, even with stalking into within 300-400yds.

They aren’t like hunting in thick brush out East looking for deer.
