I purchased a Howa Carbon Stalker mini action in a 6.5 G a couple of months ago. This gun is one of my favorite guns.
It came with one major flaw which was the bottom metal, its all plastic ..the mag was all plastic as well.
You cant torque the action screws to the proper inch pounds without splitting the bottom metal right where the action screws go in. I am not a fan of plastic mags at all, and Howa does not make steel mags for the Mini Gun. The plastic mags were hard to seat and kept falling out.
I bought new bottom metal from HokeyPokeyKid on this forum ..very nice, uses steel CZ mags, mags easy to find, took all of 5 minutes to install this is all metal.
It is a huge improvement over the factory rig.
One very minor flaw was the sling swivels just pulled out of the stock with your fingers, a little JB Weld fixed that right up.
It is a super lite hunting rig that shoots 1 to 1.5 MOA out of the box.
