I guess Im the really odd man out. I run thread protectors on all of mine and would actually prefer unthreaded. Most of my guns are truck guns I have to use in a hurry and stopping to find earplugs many times results in a lost opportunity. I also prefer 20 tubes because of reduced noise. In sporting clays ported barrels are very popular these days. I trap a lot of tournaments and can tell you the ports make trapping a much tougher job. By the end of three or four days Im pretty much a hater. And I wear high NRR plugs the whole time and at times muffs over those.
