I found the Grendel when my dad asked me to get him a lightweight, compact deer rifle that wouldnt recoil like his UL 7-08 and 308. He mentioned the 223 and 300 Whisper/Blackout. After research including talking to 4 friends who have the G, I went that route. I couldnt bare the thought of re-barreling a Sako A2 action and doing the work on it to accept the Grendel. Luckily I found a How at my LGS and am now waiting for a stock and Bottom metal from Oregunsmithing since the factory stock and bottom metal just didnt light the fire.
It is one of the most accurate rifles we own with Hammer Hunter bullets, giving multiple sub 1/2 MOA groups off of the bench.
Since no game will be shot with it beyond 300 yards, it makes a great package.
