Split Necks in Ruger American

i was getting split necks with Nosler brass. Annealing extended the life of the necks.

Annealing absolutely extends brass life. It’s based in science. However, I’m assuming you were having split necks after several firings. The op is stating brand new brass is splitting. New brass doesn’t need annealing. Fired, resized and thus work hardened brass does benefit from annealing.
