On a 20 Grendel, the Ultra 5 is almost Hollywood quiet. I sat off to the side of the muzzle while someone was firing 20 Grendel down at Steel Safari just doing some fun shooting in the evening, and it was really quiet.
Ray really wanted me to get the Ultra 7 for 12 Grendel, but I was stubborn and wanted the Ultra 5.
All I cared about was taking the muzzle blast edge off, not super quiet.
It coughs/barks kinda, whereas on 20, it sounds like disconnecting an air hose coupling.
Ultra 5 is perfect for a hunting rifle with traditional barrel lengths, as it doesnt feel like there is a can on the end like with heavier designs.
Mine is 7.4 ounces, no kidding.
How about a 243/6CM in the 16-18 range? Bolt gun! Would the TB 5 be enough, air coupling quiet? And if not, would you add barrel length or suppressor length first, until it was?
I get its a bit of a Catch 22, add more barrel length, and you gain more speed, now you need more can to quiet it down at a higher speed .dog chasing his tail!
I think, comprising performance/with decibel reduction, Id rather have an 18 + TB7 6m CM, than a 20 + TB 5?

The Premium is on noise reduction with 6mm class of projectiles. At least for me.
