The last pig he shot was a pretty big one, and he used the 223 AR. I forgot to tell him to shoot the hog in the ear, so he parked the first round (63 gr Sierra SMP) in the lungs, which got the hog moving slowly away. Second round in the guts, third in the ear, and fourth in the dirt. He said it was the most fun he ever had hunting, but hinted that a more potent round might be good - hence the Grendel. Yep, hell likely have a blast. If he has enough patience, there might be 10 or 15 hogs of various sizes around the feeder, so plenty of targets of opportunity.
