All Arken scopes are manufactured in China!
Ive got a half dozen of them. Two 1st Gen, Four 2nd Gen. 1st gen reticles basically suck, at least in the lower power model. Way too busy, and thin. 2nd Gen is much better.
The first 4 I purchased had Chinese glass, the last two have Japanese glass. Havent used the Jap glass scopes yet, so cant offer much of an opinion other than they look fine here at the house!
Theyre a decent value if youre looking for a long range dialer, with reliable tracking. They are short, heavy scopes and can be tricky to mount on some rails because of the large objective being so close to the front of the rail. The lower you like mounting the scope, the trickier it gets with eye relief and objective clearance.
It really comes down to your budget. If $500-600 is your max, drop dead, tap out limit, then you could do a lot worse than the Arken. IMO they are worth every penny of the current asking price and punch way above its weight class. However, if you can spend more, Id probably look around for something else. Only because they are so short, heavy and can be awkward to mount!
