A very apt comparison. Reminds me as well, the "massive resistance" movement by the Dems in Virginia in 1957 where they shut down all public schools for a year in protest to Brown v Bd of Ed... The Dems didn't like being over-ruled in their little totalitarian-discriminatory fiefdoms. Gubner Hok-awful is much the same.
And by the way, my wife found that the first gun control laws in 19th century were passed in the South to prohibit Blacks from owning guns. Ever the discriminators, they are.
So its rather poetic that justice Thomas writes the majority opinion, and that both the 2d and the 14th are included as being violated by the NYS laws.
