The new 6.5 Grendel has a Leupold VX5 3.5-15 with CDS and Firedot scope on it. Leupold will send me the first specialized elevation turret (based on bullet, weight, MV, BC, etc.) for free. Well, thats good, but I was worrying about what bullet should I get it set up for. I have a good stock of Hornady 123 gr SST rounds, but when I run through that, I plan to load up Nosler 100 gr Ballistic Tips. So, I was wondering, which should I plan for? So I ran some ballistics app work and found that the slower and heavier 123 gr SST, with the higher BC flies almost the same path as the 100 gr Nosler at a higher MV and lower BC. So, 1 turret fits for both. Nice. I wasnt expecting that.
