I used an Armageddon Gear Cheeky Bastard for a while. I have a round Germanic head and It got my eye up to a comfortable position on an A2 type stock with AR height Geissele mounts and a 34mm tube. I wanted to go that route because all of the precision stocks have a flat base and I prefer an angled stock base to make quick elevation judgements with my bag when shooting prone. The disadvantage of the non adjustable LOP (ie too short for my long arms) outweighed that in the end since most of my competitive shooting isn't from prone. I'd probably go that route again if I ever used a 34mm tube 1x6 or 8) with a carbine stock.
To the "buy lower mounts" crowd, I'll note that I'm now using a scope with a 56mm objective and there is only 0.08" of clearance between the objective and my rail. I know. Buy a thinner rail.
