LW-15 complete polymer lower

My LW-15 lower arrived just yesterday. My first impression is very good. I was surprised to find that the trigger is actually much better than anticipated, and much better than the standard part. It's very crisp, with no creep. The hinge pins are plastic, and really tight fitting. Unfortunately, tools are required to remove the upper. There is no slop though, the rear lug on the upper has a really snug fit to lower. It seems to hold some pretty tight tolerances on the width of the slots there. The lower is noticeably lighter. It does make the gun a little bit more front heavy. As for the polymer, It gives the impression of being very strong. It seems fibrous and hard. The polymer is threaded direct for the pistol grip, no metallic sleeve there. I did start cross threading it when trying to change grips, but running a tap through it fixed that. Still, the threads seem strong. My impression there is that they will hold up to some torque.

I replaced the hammer spring, as this thing is going on my 5.45. My concern here is that the hammer is so light. I wonder about light primer strikes, despite having the high power spring in there.

So far, I'm happy with it. I will see how it holds up.
