The farm raised hogs I have shot all dropped on the spot from a 22 short hollow point as described. Pigs in a pen or trap are far different than wild feral hogs. Farm hogs shot distance is much shorter and not rushed, just wait for a shot that will impact the skull ay a right angle to the skull surface at point of impact into the brain and instant dead hog.

Lots of places to shoot a hog and kill it cleanly, some quicker than others but on any of them if the shooter is off the mark the outcome will not be what is wanted a clean quick kill.

I will also say Double Naught Spy's knowledage of anatomy exceeds most.

All the farm raised hogs or trapped hogs I have shot were close shots. Inside 15 yards, feral hogs a few feet to 400+ yards. Margin of error increases with distance
