Me personally?
I feel it's best suited for hogs. Low recoil, highly mobile, adaptable, good rate of fire, good ammo capacity. And easily to 450yds.
Would I use it for mule deer to 300 yards? Yes if for whatever reason I no longer trusted my .270 win, I would have no problem switching to grendel. There is enough velocity and energy for a humane kill.
Elk? As much as I'd like to say, honestly those suckers are huge and I have no experience with that animal. If I had the opportunity I'd probably pass... I don't want to have to pack it out either.
