Even shooting the 95gr V-MAX at 3000fps, its still not a 1000yd bullet. G7 BC on it is roughly .187, which is sad and pathetic for long range, but great for within 400yds on coyotes. 1 mil of wind drift at 400yds at 10mph full value wind.
Sierra has published data for 85gr Varminter doing 3050fps from a 24 Grendel using 3 different powders, so 3000fps is perfectly within reach of a 24 Grendel with 85gr for a nice varminting load that doesnt suck up a lot of powder per case.
6.5CM is a lot more expensive to feed than Grendel both at the bench and at the store.
Brass doesnt last anywhere near as long, needs to be trimmed regularly, eats more powder per firing. Same with .260 Rem. Boxed ammo prices for 6.5CM are out of control right now.
