Match Class: Rifles that do not have stock open sights, i.e. M1-Garand with Alley aperture sights, bull barrel, national match rifles, and across the course rifles. M1A or M1-Garand chambered in .308, and replica rifles will shoot in Match Class.
Open Class: Rifles with any type of optic."
As I understand it, this make it available to "run what I brung" for the AR15 open class which seems like it would be a lot of fun. Matches arent frequent enough for me to go observe what people are using, how they are using it, and their success rate. Its all uncharted waters for me.
