My 2018 was the sweet spot that I was trying to dial in. My load testing is generally a 5 shot string. When all you have is 2# of unicorn powder, you tend to be a bit stingy and hope that your consistency is enough to represent a good sample. The return trip that I did not log was 5 each of .01 grain increments that got me to the 54.14. Matched Factory ammo fps and grouped extremely well.

Heck, even tried the colored bullet and one shot per charge weight at 300y to see where the "Grouping" was...at 3 separate targets to help rule out shooter error, and not try to sort out 30 holes in a single target. I ended up with 2 targets with a decent spread to work with, and the third was a 1.5" hole. How the heck am I supposed to interpret that sample?

Other than the FA scale, the validation scales are all on battery.

I hope as time goes on here, that those of you that have read this will take a look at your tare results, and zeroing to see if they stay consistent. It was really disturbing to always see the scale read 0, put in my powder charge, then while I am pouring the powder in my case, to see the tare weight read .2 grains different than when I zeroed it the first time. Hard to trust the last 40 rounds I loaded.
