Sorry to jump in with a question that has been beaten to death, but mine is the one that I believe is the front lock, side adjust, as the sliver screw on the right side is to the rear of the block. After reading some posts here and on other forums, with replies by Josiah, I have a question as to whether the front screw is actually a lock or if it just holds a detent? The front screw is tight, but the side screw can be turned, with resistance, but it doesnt feel like there are clicks, unless Im not turning it enough to get to a click. So has anyone determined if it is indeed detents for a click adjust? If Im going to get the side screw to actually be locked in place, Ill have to disassemble it and see whats preventing the front screw from actually locking the side screw. In one post from Josiah on AR15.com, he mentioned the lock screw shouldnt be messed with as it was a detent, but in other videos, people are loosening the front screw and adjusting the side, but that was a PSA 6.5 Creedmoor, so it may be different.
Its not that big of a deal as the rifle functions fine, and Im pretty sure the adjustment will stay put with the amount of resistance on the side screw. I hate to admit that I havent shot it much. Just zeroed it in with a few rounds in 2018 when I got it, and have been harvesting a few deer a year ever since. I think Im up to a whole 18 rounds fired now, with 8 to zero and group, and 10 deer.
