It still wouldn't feed.
Upon closer inspection I see Ruger built the action with a "valley of death".
The feed ramp is about a half inch from the chamber.
When feeding a round the mag follower or next round pushes the case head up, which rotates the nose down, and then T-bones the flat face of the chamber.
Great flipping design Ruger!
So I get it now. Cut two coils off the mag spring.
Seems to feed now.
Wonder if I could fill in the "valley of death" with epoxy?
