Yep, the factory barrel was fine for hunting, but after 3-4 rounds it would start to heat up and I'd get shot dispersion that was unacceptable. It was even worse with a suppressor attached.
I'm very happy with the barrel-nut system, as I now have a switch-barrel rifle. I could have Crown Ridge make me a 6mm ARC barrel or a lightweight 16" Grendel barrel and swap among all my barrels at home in less than 10 minutes.
