I've got to ask...You still have to wear hearing protection so why suppress such a short barrel when it is only going to make it longer?

You've gone to the trouble of making a notoriously slow calibre even slower so obviously gun length is important to you. Why then lengthen it with a suppressor? If you are OK with a gun at the length a suppressor is going to make it you could fit a barrel the same length and enjoy the extra velocity - just saying.

I'm not the OP, but i'll take a stab at this..... You're not looking at it from the right perspective. I have decided i want a 6.5 grendel. I will not shoot an suppressed rifle. I want it to be under x length. Thus, i need a 10.5" barrel.
