BUT... most of my scopes of choice have gravitated to the mid-high range Vortex's. Better glass, better clarity, and better magnif. You need all 3 IMO.
Think about something like 3-15, there are PST's and PST-2's that fill this bill. they are 30 mm scopes not 1", and I've also moved most of mine over to FFP.
Now scope opinions are like bellybuttons, everyone has differing opinions.
But this is what I'd suggest, since I went through this journey myself.
edit: o, and with moa tick marks...you can go mil if you want but moa is what I'm used to. But not the "bdc's" - they don't give you the holdover flexibility you'll want.
ps, my left eye is also dominant, I didn't find this out until many moons had gone by, many many. And left is also noticeably clearer but both are pretty good...
But I still shoot RH anyway since that's what I've done all these years. A good scope can compensate for most of the eye issues.
My laser range finder goes for the left eye however, b/c it works better.
Oh, I've known I've been crossed eye dominant for ages. I was thinking of 5-15x. And I love my Vortex.
