Thanks for the replies. I will swap the scope and mounts, rebuild the upper, bed the barrel and lap the upper. I ordered a lapping tool from pacific tool and gauge. Ill double check everything looks good in the process.
I was going back through my reloading notes. Ive tried various OALs from 2.255 to 2.270. My current ABLR are set at 2.270, i cant say ive tried that particular load at 2.265 (4 powders, 4 bullet heads, 4 seating depths is a lot of combinations) so I will snug it down a little and try that as well.
However, my confidence level that it makes the gun a sub MOA shooter isnt that high. But as stated above Im not out much for trying.
Should I be thinking about swapping out my muzzle device (currently a simple flash hider), trying a better stripped upper, or forking out money for a better BCG? Its pretty easy for me to understand how a barrel impacts accuracy, the other items I have a hard time justifying spending more money on if it doesnt have a noticeable impact on the accuracy of the rifle. Thoughts?
