Just found this forum while reading about the 6.5. I intend on building an upper in 6.5 Grendel for hunting. I havent deer hunted with a rifle in several years. My weapon of choice has been a bow for awhile now but lately got the urge to use a rifle. Ive always been a bolt action guy but I have a couple of ARs I occasionally shoot. I feel like I need to sharpen my marksmanship skills and thought an AR platform with an inexpensive cartridge is the ticket. I considered buying a complete upper but I like the idea of building one to my own likes. Im hoping to glean some valuable info from the members here.
