Grendel Horde!
There is a give and take with everything. A typical muzzle device, excluding sound suppressors, blend recoil reduction with flash suppression. A brake is mainly for recoil reduction, and a flash hider does just that. I have developed a patent pending muzzle device which allows you to quickly open and close cross-ports which makes the muzzle device function more like a brake when open, and more like a flash suppressor when closed. This product is marketed toward the more premium side of the market, at least for now. The material is titanium, which will also be DLC coated. So light, so tough. The first model is designed to perfectly match to the monster barrels. There is a pilot bore that aligns to the barrel outside diameter, right behind the threads.
Take a look at the pictures to see the product. Once DLC coated, the latching tooth won't mark up the OD during assembly/disassembly.
For the fun part - I have four prototype, fully functional, products. They are bare titanium so they could be re-machined if I want. I am looking for a few customers who would like to purchase the muzzle device, use it, beat it, and provide feedback of what you think. The purchase is fully refundable with the return of the parts.
