I started out with 300BO and so I am always confused by the choice to build a SBR AR15 (<12") in Grendel. The whole design behind the Grendel was the additional case capacity to achieve higher velocity. There is an extra 10gr (50% case capacity) in Grendel over 300BO. Due to the different types of powders used, the increased capacity doesn't translate 1:1 into velocity. The 300BO is using pistol powder (higher energy) and can handle higher pressures (thicker bolt).
With the SBR Grendel are you planning to compensate by either:
1) Reducing your charge weight of current powder to avoid throwing 1/3- 1/2 the powder volume (unburnt) down your barrel into your suppressor/out the muzzle for a large fireball... big flash & boom.
2) Switching to a faster burning powder to increase your velocity... now you just have 1/3 empty case.
Since you are in the Pistol Length Gas. this is definitely one of those times that an Adj. Gas Block makes sense for a Grendel.
