Fair comment - then perhaps Lock-up Time is better term for the amount of time that case stays in chamber after ignition. This timing issue was the problem, and may be the result of insufficient amount of gas to move BCG, too heavy of a buffer system (buffer weight &/or buffer spring), or some other mechanical interference delaying/restricting the BCG's rearward movement.
