Picked it up yesterday, started modding already, lost 8 ounces from the stock, will see what the barrel reduction ends up saving.
Scope is not mounted, just sitting there by it for perspective, still deciding between a rail and those Leupold mounts or the Talley mounts.
Picture shows KAW linear compensator taped onto the barrel to make it 16 1/16th inches, barrel actual length would be approx 14.75 inches.
Forend of the stock is pretty stiff when shortened and I relieved the inside to make it so I can barely force it to touch the barrel and not how I would ever shoot it though I might still fill the voids under the barrel.
Cut off the bottom of the grip as far longer than I needed and used a 1 inch and a 3/4 inch fostner bit to drill down 2.25 inches into the grip as it was solid molded, still very stiff. I think I will end up keeping this stock.
I will order the bottom metal next.
I will likely add QD mounts to both ends of the stock.
Trimmed the recoil pad, turned out pretty decent but looking for another option I can fit better.
Trigger is great as is, zero creep, will lighten the pull a bit though.
Bolt cycles very smoothly, did the mag mod and it loaded all rounds perfectly.
I am going to end up with a dang fine little gun for a very reasonable cost
