Primary arms 5x prism

I’ve never used a 5x prism scope but I’ve read on forums some people don’t like the restricted field of view. The higher magnification on variable optics field of view is not as much a factor because you can use lower magnification to scan or locate potential targets then zoom to higher magnification. A Friend was using a 1-4.5 LPVO from an odd shooting position and had a lot of trouble locating the target on 4.5x. He is kind of a novice but I’d be hesitant to purchase a 5x prism sight unseen. I would at least compare the spec to other LPVO field of view to get an idea if the FOV of the prism is useable.
