I remember when M-16 lowers were $150, Colt M-16 rifles were $700, diesel was 11 cents a gallon and river front property in Montana was $800 an acre..

Supply, demand and communist in government can make a difference...I saw an old Olympic parts gun painted with Krylon sell for $1000 after the Newtown shooting, where every modern porting rifle was sold out of every retail store in Missoula Mt.

Considering Anderson stripped uppers are going for $83.49, stripped Aero's are going for $114.99, and stripped BMC thermol fit uppers are going for $119 when available, their blems are about right for this market...

I'm leery of buying anything in this market, since QC always drops when demand rises...

I too remember low prices, Gas at 15 cents a gal, shoes for school 10/12 dollars a pair. What I don't remember is a 30.00 dollar jump in prices in less than a year for something clearly marked as not perfect, no matter what it was.

BTW just bought, 2 months ago, an Anderson "slick" upper on sale for $39.00 that is just as tight as any of the BCM uppers I have, call it luck or whatever but there it is.

I agree in these times quality is the first thing out the door "buyer beware!"
